2 Charging Your Device
Before setting up your Ledger Flex, make sure it's fully charged:
- Connect the USB-C cable to your Ledger Flex and a power source

3 Initial Device Setup
Power on your Ledger Flex by pressing the power button:

4 Setting Up Your PIN Code
Your PIN code is the first line of defense for your device:
- Choose a PIN code between 4-8 digits

5 Writing Down Your Recovery Phrase
This is the most critical security step. Your recovery phrase allows you to restore your wallet if the device is lost or damaged:
- Your device will generate a 24-word recovery phrase
 - Write down each word in the exact order on your recovery sheet
 - Verify the phrase by selecting the words in correct order when prompted
 
- Never digitize your recovery phrase (no photos, cloud storage, or digital notes)
 - Store it in a secure, fireproof location
 - Never share your recovery phrase with anyone
 - Ledger will NEVER ask for your recovery phrase
 
6 Installing Ledger Live
Ledger Live is the companion application for managing your crypto assets:
- Download Ledger Live from the official Ledger website
 - Install the application on your computer or mobile device
 - Follow the setup wizard to initialize the application
 
7 Connecting Your Device
Connect your Ledger Flex to Ledger Live:
- Use the USB-C cable to connect your device to your computer
 - In Ledger Live, select "Add device" and follow the prompts
 - Your device will be detected and you can proceed with setup
 
8 Installing Crypto Asset Apps
To manage different cryptocurrencies, you need to install their respective apps:
- In Ledger Live, go to the "Manager" section
 - Browse or search for the crypto apps you want to install
 - Install Bitcoin, Ethereum, or any other supported cryptocurrencies
 
9 Creating Your First Account
Now you're ready to create accounts for your cryptocurrencies:
- In Ledger Live, go to "Accounts" and click "Add account"

10 Making Your First Transaction
Test your setup with a small transaction:
- In Ledger Live, select the account you want to receive funds
 - Click "Receive" to get your deposit address
 - Verify the address on your Ledger Flex screen
 - Send a small amount of cryptocurrency to this address
